Shane has served as Pastor of First Baptist, Moab since September 2021.

Shane was saved under his father's teaching and preaching ministry at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church, Ripley, TN. He answered the call to the gospel ministry in the fall of 1988. He was licensed by Tabernacle Baptist Church, Decatur, IL, and ordained by First Baptist Church, Troy, TN.

He is married to Jenni (Fuller) O'Guin. Shane & Jenni met while Shane served on staff at Poplar Corner Baptist Church, Brownsville, TN, and married in December of 1997. They have three children: Caroline Moody, married to Chandler Moody; Carson, married to Mariah (VanSickle) O'Guin and Catherine O'Guin.

Shane holds a Bachelor's of Religious Education from Covington Theological Seminary, a Bachelor's of Science: Religious and Theological Studies from Liberty University; a Master of Divinity in Healthcare Chaplaincy from Liberty University, and is currently completing his Doctorate of Ministry in Expository Preaching for Liberty University.

Shane and Jenni have served churches in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, and Utah.

Shane's favorite verses are Psalms 25:4-5 which say, "Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long."
